Learning Support Assistant\n Location: Hillingdon\n Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-Time Only)\n Salary: £110 - £130 per day\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for a passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist secondary provision supporting students aged 11-19 with Special Education Needs.\n\nThis role focuses on helping students overcome barriers to learning, providing both academic support and personal development guidance. You will play a vital role in enabling young people to build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve their potential in a safe and supportive environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide tailored learning support across English, Maths, PSHE, Science and other key subjects for individuals and small groups.\nReinforce subject knowledge and key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and personal development.\nWork collaboratively with teachers to deliver engaging and differentiated learning activities.\nSupport positive behaviour through consistent strategies and de-escalation techniques.\nPromote inclusion and encourage participation, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.\nOffer feedback to teaching staff on student progress, helping shape future planning and interventions.Requirements\n\nPrevious experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role within secondary, SEN, or alternative provision settings.\nStrong subject knowledge at Key Stages 3-5 subjects.\nExperience supporting students with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or those at risk of exclusion.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire trust and motivate learners.\nCalm, patient, and resilient approach, able to adapt to a variety of situations.\nA genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their best outcomes.Why Join Us?\n\nMake a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.\nBe part of a dedicated and supportive team.\nGain valuable experience for career progression into teaching, SEN specialisms, or pastoral support.________________________________________\n\nAdditional Information\n\nEach candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required.
