Part-Time SEN Tutor

Prospero Teaching is recruiting experienced SEN Tutors to work with pupils across Lancashire, delivering 1:1 tuition in both Maths and English from KS1 through to KS4.\n\nOur tutors support vulnerable pupils who are currently out of school, many of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role requires patience, flexibility, and a creative approach to re-engage students with learning.\n\nRole Details:\n\nLocation: Lancashire (community settings or pupil homes, with safeguarding measures in place)\n\nHours: Approx. 10 - 20 per week (flexible between 9am - 4pm, term-time only)\n\nPay: £25 - £30 per hour, depending on experience\n\nContract: Ongoing, part-time, flexible\n\nSubjects: Both Maths and English (tutors must be confident delivering both at an appropriate level)\n\nStart date: ASAP\n\nRequirements:\n\nMinimum 2 years experience working with pupils with SEN/SEMH in the UK\n\nExperience teaching/tutoring both Maths and English within the UK curriculum\n\nQTS desirable, though strong SEN/tuition backgrounds will also be considered\n\nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)\n\nAbility to travel locally across Local regions in Lancashire\n\nA patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching style\n\nFurther Information:\n\nThis role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils who need support the most.
